Hi, it’s me...guess what, I think we’ve found it! Yeah...I mean, it has everything going for it... fantastic location, yeah it’s right on the edge of a huge park, but it’s still close enough to the shops and the bus stop. Yeah, that was the most important thing because we really don’t want to get a car yet...and cycling is out of the question. The traffic is far too heavy on the main road...Yeah, anyway, as I was saying, it’s right next to a park, we actually went to see it this afternoon. It’s in an old brick building. Yes. Third floor. You can see the swimming pool from the balcony...And it has one of those open-plan kitchens. Then there’s a hall, a long, narrow bathroom, a living room and a bedroom. The living room faces south, which is very good for lots of natural light of course...And did I mention the high ceilings? It’s all freshly decorated as well...and fully furnished, though the furniture’s a bit too basic for my liking...Hey, but I mustn’t grumble...Yeah...it’s definitely ours. There was another couple who were interested but they pulled out at the last minute. The landlady wants two months’ deposit, which is fair enough. She seems quite nice, actually. She says she’s only interested in letting the flat to working couples. And long term only....Sorry? Oh, probably next weekend. We still have to pack everything though...Tell you what, when we’ve finished unpacking and everything’s sorted out, we’ll have a housewarming party...How does the Saturday after next sound?
